Evidence systems under study

New evidence, privacy, and agent-control features now implemented.

The latest backend work strengthens enterprise-grade governance: tamper-evident audit records, cryptographic key rotation, encrypted sensitive fields, GDPR rights workflows, resource mutation evidence, and an AI Agent Registry.

A01
Tamper-Evident Audit Chainaudit_events
Hash chain + HMAC signatures

Gives enterprise reviewers a verifiable sequence of actions instead of a loose activity log that can be rewritten after the fact.

integrity
A02
HMAC Key Rotationsigning_keys
Versioned signing keys

Lets the audit chain keep cryptographic continuity while keys evolve, which matters for long-lived regulated environments.

continuity
P01
Encrypted PII With Lookup Hashessensitive_fields
Fernet fields + companion hashes

Protects sensitive identity fields while preserving operational search and ownership lookup without exposing plaintext.

privacy
G01
GDPR Data-Subject Rightsprivacy_requests
Export + erasure router

Supports export and erasure workflows so privacy review is part of the platform architecture, not a manual afterthought.

rights workflow
R01
Resource Mutation Evidenceresource_mutations
Shared audit hooks across routers

Turns creates, updates, deletes, executions, toggles, acknowledgements, and remediations into reviewable tenant-scoped evidence.

AG1
AI Agent Registryagent_registry
Agent registry API + UI

Creates a controlled inventory for autonomous agents so organizations can study ownership, access, lifecycle, and operational state.

Welcome to meghIQ

meghIQ is an enterprise automation governance platform that helps you discover, monitor, govern, and optimize all your automations across multiple platforms. This guide will walk you through everything you need to get started.

New to automation governance? Don't worry - this guide assumes no prior knowledge and will walk you through each step.

Quick Start (15 Minutes)

Step 1: Create Your Account

  1. Request beta access via the Contact page — beta participation is non-commercial and granted by review
  2. Once approved, you will receive a registration link by email
  3. Complete the registration form and verify your email
  4. Complete your collaborator profile

Step 2: Connect Your First Platform

  1. Navigate to Settings → Integrations in your dashboard
  2. Select a platform to connect (we recommend starting with Zapier or GitHub Actions)
  3. Follow the OAuth authentication flow
  4. Grant necessary permissions for discovery and monitoring
  5. Wait for the initial scan to complete (usually 5-10 minutes)

Note: The first scan may take longer depending on the number of automations in your account.

Step 3: Explore Your Dashboard

  1. View your discovered automations in the Automations page
  2. Check compliance status in the Compliance dashboard
  3. Review optimization opportunities in the Opportunities section
  4. Explore AI-powered insights like DNA Profiling and Health Scores

Platform Integration Details

Zapier Integration

Connect your Zapier account to discover all your Zaps and workflows.

  • Requires Zapier API access (available on all paid plans)
  • OAuth 2.0 authentication for secure connection
  • Automatic discovery of all Zaps, including inactive ones
  • Real-time monitoring of Zap execution and costs

Permissions needed: Read access to Zaps, execution history, and account information

GitHub Actions Integration

Connect your GitHub account to discover all GitHub Actions workflows.

  • Requires GitHub Personal Access Token or OAuth App
  • Scans all repositories you have access to
  • Discovers workflows in .github/workflows directories
  • Tracks workflow runs, success rates, and execution costs

Permissions needed: Read access to repositories and workflow runs

Microsoft Power Automate Integration

Connect your Microsoft account to discover Power Automate flows.

  • Uses Azure AD authentication
  • Discovers all flows in your Power Automate environment
  • Tracks flow runs, triggers, and costs
  • Supports both cloud and on-premises flows

Permissions needed: Power Automate read permissions

AWS Lambda Integration

Connect your AWS account to discover Lambda functions and related automations.

  • Uses AWS IAM roles for secure access
  • Discovers all Lambda functions across regions
  • Tracks invocations, costs, and CloudWatch metrics
  • Identifies triggers (API Gateway, EventBridge, S3, etc.)

Permissions needed: Lambda read permissions, CloudWatch read access

Understanding Your Dashboard

Key Metrics (KPIs)

  • Total Automations: The number of automations discovered across all platforms
  • Compliance Score: Percentage of automations that meet compliance requirements
  • Annual Savings: Estimated cost savings from optimization opportunities
  • Critical Violations: Number of high-severity compliance violations requiring attention

Navigation Guide

  • Dashboard: Overview of all key metrics and recent activity
  • Automations: Complete inventory of all discovered automations with filtering and search
  • Compliance: Compliance violations, scores, and remediation recommendations
  • Opportunities: Cost optimization and consolidation opportunities
  • Dependencies: Visual graph of automation dependencies and relationships
  • Settings: Platform integrations, user management, and configuration

Best Practices

✅ Do's

  • Start with one platform and gradually add more
  • Review compliance violations regularly and address critical issues first
  • Use optimization opportunities to reduce costs systematically
  • Set up notifications for critical violations and failures
  • Regularly review and update automation owners and documentation

❌ Don'ts

  • Don't ignore compliance violations - they can lead to security risks
  • Don't connect all platforms at once - start small and scale
  • Don't disable automations without checking dependencies first
  • Don't skip the initial discovery scan - it's essential for accurate data

Next Steps

Now that you're set up, here's what to do next:

  1. Review your discovered automations and verify they're all legitimate
  2. Check the Compliance dashboard for any violations
  3. Explore optimization opportunities to reduce costs
  4. Set up notifications for important events
  5. Invite team members and assign automation owners
  6. Explore AI-powered features like DNA Profiling and Health Scores
